Microneedling

Dr. Ng is now offering the microneedling procedure, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, using the Eclipse Micropen Elite. Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation procedure that improves fine lines and acne scars, to give a more youthful appearance. The micropen is used to create superficial micro-injuries, thus activating a restorative process in the days and months following the treatment that results in a more glowing and smooth complexion. The restorative process can be enhanced using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). This process involves spinning a tube of the patient’s blood, separating the PRP, and applying it to the patient’s skin during the microneedling procedure. The PRP contains platelets and lots of growth factors that help to naturally stimulate the collagen producing cells to produce collagen and other skin components.
